Burwood Evening Congregation

Although the bulk of the people that form the evening worship congregation are young adults, the congregation is surprisingly diverse. Our aim is to provide a contemporary style of worship that seeks a balance between prayer & reflection, praise, discussion, and social action. Together we are trying to live out discipleship in a world that rarely rewards those ideals.

Burwood Evening Congregation meets for worship on Sundays at 6.30pm in the Burwood Fellowship Hall. We also meet less formally once a month to share a meal at the Malvern Ave House.

Every second week the Sunday Worship Service is followed by a barbecue dinner at 7.30. You bring your food, we have the barbecue and gas!

Members of the Burwood Evening community are involved in running the Youth Group.

We are at present designing a public mural to be painted on the southern wall of the church property, and any suggestions would be welcome. Most recently we have moved our services from the church building into the Fellowship Hall and are finding the space warmer and more inviting.

The bi-monthly Christian Community publication, Cactus Communiqué, is written and produced by members of the Burwood Evening Congregation.
