Community Based

UnitingCare Burwood Preschool is a community-based not-for-profit service which is locally managed by Burwood Uniting Church and is part of UnitingCare Children’s Services.

Learning

UnitingCare Burwood Preschool is committed to offering an environment which encourages learning.

This learning may be achieved through:

  • Play
  • Exploration
  • Planned group experiences
  • Unplanned group experiences
  • Language +Literacy experiences
  • Social interactions with peers
  • Music and Movement experiences
All children receive a Developmental Portfolio which provides families with a pictorial record of their time at Preschool.
Developmental Checklists are completed twice per year.

 

School Preparation

At UnitingCare Burwood Preschool, the children are well prepared for “Big School” with an emphasis placed on the following developmental areas:

  • Self Help Skills
  • Independence
  • Social Skills
  • Language
  • Following directions in a group
  • Self Confidence
Children are extended in their areas of interest and ability.

 

Uniting Care Burwood Preschool is a 40 place Preschool operating during Public School Terms.

Our qualified and experienced staff work in partnership with parents to provide a quality educational program catering to the individual needs and interests of your child.

We offer a friendly and caring environment for children aged between 3 and 6 years.

Open Monday to Friday between 9am and 3pm (extended hours available).
