The Woodfield Retirement Village was established in 1978 by a forward thinking group from Burwood-Croydon Parish. They established the Burwood-Croydon Uniting Church Parish Community Care Services Board of Management. The Board is affiliated with UnitingCare, which is the Uniting Church body overseeing the delivery of aged care by Uniting Church facilities.

The retirement village has 57 hostel units and 1 respite care unit. There are many community facilities within the pleasant garden setting. These include a swimming pool, hairdresser, games room complete with 'shuffle-board' table, and weekly community Friendship Club.
Woodfield Nursing Home -
Woodfield Nursing Home is adjacent to the Woodfield Retirement Village, and was established in 1982. It was re-built in 1997 with the latest design features in a 'Federation' style setting. There is a total of 44 beds for the frail aged, with a 23 bed secure 'dementia specific' unit. The nursing home is also developing a speciality with palliative care.
Abrina Nursing Home -
The Abrina Nursing Home was acquired by Woodfield in 1995 as an operating nursing home. It comprises 63 beds specialising in care of aged people of Chinese and Vietnamese heritage. A complete re-building and re-furbishment program has recently been completed.
Woodfield Terraces -
The Woodfield Terraces, built in 1994, comprise 17 self-care units. The Terraces are in a garden setting in Bay St. Croydon. The grounds also house a Community Hall which is used for the North Croydon church services.
